• Dragonflies are excellent hunters, fly extremely well, and are among the fastest flying creatures.
• Dragonflies can flap or beat their two pairs of wings independently. This means the front wings can be going down while the back ones are coming up.
• Dragonfly eyes may each contain as many as 30,000 individual lenses (your eyes each contain only one lens).
• Dragonfly nymphs live in water and are feared hunters as well, attacking anything in sight, from insects to little newts, from frogs to fish!
